1942 Harley WLA Flathead Bobber
Thank God There's Harleys... So, let's show them!
Andy from Woringen, Germany sent us these photos of his magnificent 1942 WLA Harley Flathead Bobber which is a true oldschool motorcycle.
Andy: "Here are some pictures of my 1942 Harley WLA which I completely rebuilt in Bobberstyle."
Andy is not sure which parts have been replaced by a previous owner, but the engine, transmission, frame, springer fork and the tank are original. New parts include the Joe Hunt magneto, fork springs, seat, footboards, WRTT exhaust and the Shinko SHR 240 Classic Series MT 90-16 tires
Andy's 1942 WLA Liberator Bobber is a real oldschool motorcycle. That bobbed rear fender shows maximum rubber!
Note the pinstriping and powdercoated rims.

Here's some close-up photographs of the Harley Flathead engine. These 45 cubic inch low compression engines of the WLA Army Liberator motorcycles were designed for durability rather than speed.
Andy's 1942 WLA Flathead Engine has the left foot clutch and left hand tank shift, all in the good old Harley Davidson tradition.

Those Shinko Classic Series tires look real good on an Oldschool Bobber.
