1930 Harley VC Flathead 74
Al from Clinton (Detroit), Michigan, United States made available these photos of his 1930 Harley VC Flathead 74. This vintage motorcycle has a 74 cubic inch "Flathead" side valve engine.
Al: "This is a 100% totally restored, to museum quality, 1930 VC. This is a very rare motorcycle with only 1174 built. It is a first year Flathead 74 and has many one year only parts: dual headlights, Klaxon 11 horn, twin tube muffler and cylindrical toolbox, just to mention a few.
This bike is a near perfect restoration that was built to ride, show or put in a museum. Most replacement parts were bought from VL Heaven in England. Steve only sells original or perfect replica parts. The bike has all matching numbers with clear title. The paint is a match to the olive drab green with all correct striping and decals. The seat is aftermarket and the carb is a Linkert. I could not find the correct Schebler."
Al: "This bike has never been started. All it needs is gas and oil. The motor and transmission have been professionally rebuilt.
The electrical is all new and working."
This is what a museum quality 1930 VC Flathead engine looks like. Period.
1930 Harley Davidson VC's have a Klaxon 11 horn between the dual headlights, just above that cylindrical toolbox.
Also please note the twin tube muffler, looks like a rifle!
